She lives! The Great Silent One speaks again! Yes, yes, I know it’s been a while. As may be, I’m back and in full force, as it were.
For the past few months, we over here at Fat Girl Kitchen have been working on a surprise. We’re launching our own line of snacks – specifically beef jerky. The whole point of Quirky Jerky is to make ridiculously good, high quality, hand-made jerkies in unique-but-amazing flavor combos.
We’ve just finished the beta testing for our 5 introductory flavors, of like 65+ and counting in the lineup.

We’ll be launching a Kickstarter campaign soon to raise capital for the specialty packing equipment, our very own meat slicers, etc., so that we can offer all our flavors all the time. I’d use all the oodles I make off this blog, but the profits are already earmarked for the Re-Homing Handleless Everyday Pans charity. The proceeds from my cookbook, Fat Girl Food, you say? Nope, those profits already support research studying the environmental impact of unicorn farts. If you’d like to support that research, too, copies of Fat Girl Food are still available ($29 for hard copies or $5 for digital download).
In the meantime, we’re making our jerky available immediately. Due to our popularity and our current equipmentorial limitations, each week we’ll focus on just one flavor – and this week it’s Blueberry Green Chile. Sweet blueberries and savory, fire-roasted green chiles, bright and well spiced without being spicy.
